November is a special time in which the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association acknowledge the many caregivers in the U.S. and appreciate them for their time and countless sacrifices. We know that recovering from stroke not only impacts survivors, but their caregivers, family and friends.
This National Family Caregivers Month and throughout the year, help caregivers navigate through the recovery process and find resources for self-care and for their loved ones.
Here are some key tools for you and your community:
- Join or start a conversation on the Support Network. Connect with other caregivers, survivors and people who understand exactly what recovery means.
- Share helpful resources from the Family Caregivers Toolkit to help you, your loved ones or members of your social community get through their caregiving journey.
- Join the Facebook Caregiver Chat on November 17th at 2 PM CST to learn key tips on spousal support.
