Video Submission Guidelines
In the video please introduce yourselves, explain what you’re doing and why, and tell us anything else you want us to know about the founders and the project.
The video should be 60-90 seconds long and should be uploaded to YouTube. If you don’t want other people to find it, mark it as unlisted. Don’t mark it as private or disallow embedding, or we won’t be able to see it.
The video should contain nothing except you talking. Do not include any whiteboards, posters, etc. or video production gimmicks. This is not a video-making contest. We’re just interested in seeing you and hearing your project. Just make sure that you are someplace with some good natural light.
Please do not recite a script written beforehand. Just talk spontaneously as you would to a friend. We’ll be checking for passion and enthusiasm. There’s a certain fire-in-the-belly delivery and resoluteness that we’ll be looking for because we want to get a sense that you understand that the stakes for what you want to implement are high. Your project has the potential to change entire communities for the better. Show us that you are deeply connected to understanding that responsibility.
Finally, please do not add any background music to your video, even in the intro. Before submitting the video, be sure to play it back and check that you can hear what you’re saying.
Any deviation from these guidelines may result in a delay or rejection of your application.
